Business Development Manager for Freight Services
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to lead our sales efforts in the freight services industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the market, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with customers.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments and meetings with new and existing customers to identify potential trade routes and offer domestic and international freight services.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Qualify prospective customers through research, networking, and cold-calling.
- Provide professional demonstrations and presentations of our freight services while onsite.
- Liaise between our company and customers for up-to-date pricing information and latest trade route launches.
- Prepare and present sales reports and pipeline updates to management.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of the freight services industry is a plus.
