Digital Proposal Development Manager

Job Summary:

This role involves leading a team to craft high-quality proposals that meet customer expectations and support sales targets.

The successful candidate will collaborate with business development teams, technical experts, and stakeholders to deliver winning proposals for large-scale projects and digital transformation initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee proposal development to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of all documents, aligning with company standards and customer requirements.
  • Analyze customer requests for proposals (RFPs) with the business development team to define technical and commercial strategies for proposal development.
  • Support proposal development for complex projects and digital solutions, with a deep understanding of customer needs, competitive positioning, and value proposition.
  • Prepare and submit proposals, including statements of work (SOWs), ensuring alignment with internal capabilities and external customer requirements.
  • Respond to RFPs by articulating the company's value proposition, proposing cost-effective solutions that meet functional, technical, and budgetary requirements.
  • Manage stakeholder communications throughout the proposal lifecycle, including coordination with engineering, project management, legal, procurement, and sales teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation, cost estimation, risk identification, and pricing strategy are embedded in proposals.
  • Lead the handover process to the execution team upon project award.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Process Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in digital solutions, preferably in industries like Oil & Gas, Materials, and Life Sciences.
  • Relevant experience in ICSS systems, such as Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Field Global System (FGS), etc.
  • Strong knowledge of major automation vendors, products, services, and solutions.
  • Domain expertise in ISA95, ISA88, OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Industry 4.0, MES best practices, and data security.
  • Experience with Yokogawa products is an asset.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
