Job Overview

The role of Assistant Manager, Guest Experience is a critical component of the store leadership team. It ensures that guests receive an exceptional quality experience in our stores every day.

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager leads from the floor and builds a cohesive team culture where people feel valued and empowered to grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a respectful and inclusive environment by welcoming diversity and promoting inclusivity.
  • Lead from the floor to assess and fulfill business needs, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
  • Engage directly with team members to support their understanding of how their work contributes to store success.
  • Implement the People vision for the store and cascade it to team members using independent judgment.
  • Manage the hiring process, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding, to build a diverse and strong team.
  • Provide coaching and training to team members, identifying development areas and sourcing solutions.
  • Lead performance management activities, including feedback, recognition, and addressing performance concerns.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain day-to-day operations, and collaborate with team members on guest connection and technical product education.
  • Address guest feedback and issues, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Monitor and compare performance metrics against goals to drive guest satisfaction improvements.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the store is located.
  • Schedule/Availability: Full-time position, 38 hours per week; flexible rostering; shifts include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience: 1 year of people management experience; 1 year of leadership experience including operations, administration, and project/process management.
  • Assets (nice to have): High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of retail or sales management experience; 1 year recruiting, hiring, or training employees.
