Job Title:

A high-performing Project Manager is sought after to spearhead large-scale IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality results.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders. Key responsibilities include developing project plans, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring effective resource allocation.

  • Developing project plans, risk management plans, project milestones, and deliverables in consultation with business users and architect/designer.
  • Managing the implementation of the project on a daily basis, including schedules, budget, manpower, and quality.
  • Managing scope definition and change control mechanisms.
  • Escalating and discussing project overrun issues, scope creep, integration issues, and resource requirements with senior directors.
  • Managing integration of various components of the project, including hardware, software installation, testing, business process review, redesign, application development, migration, and data conversion.
  • Managing project activities to ensure timely delivery, including identification of critical path, monitoring, and driving completion of interdependent activities, and adjusting project schedules to achieve overall completion deadline.
  • Managing resources, including hardware, software, human resources, facilities, and logistics, required for project completion within budget.
  • Reviewing project documentation to ensure it meets customer requirements and conforms to quality management processes, standards, and procedures to minimize rework and system failures.
  • Defining project resources, performance reviews, and post-implementation evaluations.
  • Negotiating with vendors and across teams to ensure adequate resources are available during various phases of the project.
  • Building relationships with users, technical staff, and management to determine and resolve issues associated with systems implementation.
  • Managing contracts and subcontractors.
  • Negotiating with customers on change request effort, schedules, and prioritizing changes based on business needs.
  • Providing clear and open communication with customers on project issues or clarifications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with users, technical staff, and management.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Ability to negotiate with vendors and customers, and to manage conflicts and issues that may arise during the project.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
