**Job Title : High Performance Manager (HPM)
**_Job Description:

Reporting to the FS Technical Director (TD), the High Performance Manager (HPM) will work closely with the FS High Performance Executive, FS Account Executive, FS National Coaches (FS NCs), FS National Partner Coaches (FS NPCs), Singapore Sports Institute (SSI), National Youth Sports Institute (NYSI) and any official or Senior Management that Fencing Singapore may assign; and he/she is responsible for the followings:
1. To assist TD in development and implementation of framework for long term (4+ years) high performance fencing plan, endorsed by Joint Management Committee (JMC), that articulates athlete development through the national squads structure for Senior, Junior and Cadet fencers across all three weapon groups.

2. Together with FS NC’s for given weapon and FS NPC’s, to coordinate and manage Annual Plan and high performance programmes that support selected national athletes (e.g. Spex-scholarship Program, National Team program or Campaign Support Program);

3. Development of fencing specific high performance platforms to support Annual Plan and to enable efficient co-ordination with the Sport Science and Medicine under SSI and NYSI for the National Team Squads.

4. To work closely with FS High Performance Executive in development of platform for performance analysis and training/competition load monitoring and to provide regular report to TD and FS NC’s, about progression level to selected national athletes and National Team Squads.

5. To manage any appeal request regarding high performance programmes and National Team;

6. To oversee all logistic matters and to work closely with FS Account Executive to provide support to selected national athletes and National Team Squads.

7. Ensure that there are appropriately trained and knowledgeable leaders of the Singapore contingent at major international events and major games; and that post-event reports and reviews are conducted to inform future planning.

**_Qualification Requirements:

- **
- Diploma in Physical Education and/or Sports Sciences; University degree.
- A thorough understanding of elite fencers’ developmental pathways, especially in relation to the development of talent and knowledge of Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD).
- Demonstrate a good understanding and sustained integration of Sports Medicine and Science knowledge/resources in the coaching and/or development of national fencers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, independent worker, and a proven teamplayer. The ability to lead.
- Applicants must be able to independently communicate (written and spoken) in English.
- Excellent analytical, evaluation and planning skills.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Must be willing to work long hours and on weekends.
