To oversee the implementation of capital projects and ensure compliance with regulations, management frameworks, engineering standards, environmental, health & safety guidelines, and good manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities include managing a team of project engineers and designers, planning and facilitating annual physical condition assessments for plant and facilities, developing action plans with area owners and stakeholders, and leading key forums to seek endorsement on project proposals and compliance matters.
The role requires collaboration with project managers from various functions to develop and approve project investment papers, leading and managing the implementation of major and minor capital projects with internal teams and external vendors, driving effective delivery of capital projects through project management tools, and overseeing the product contamination cause and elimination program.
Maintain inspection readiness to ensure audit compliance with engineering, EHS, and financial governance standards, contribute to the development and refinement of engineering, qualification, and safety procedures, and implement and control the production system within the engineering department.
Required Skills and QualificationsDegree in Engineering or relevant disciplines, minimum of 10 years' experience in the chemical/pharmaceutical industry, experience managing projects worth over £20 million, strong understanding of industrial standards, equipment, systems, and maintenance, knowledge of best engineering practices, GMP, and EHS requirements.
Good commercial knowledge, including contractual law, proven project execution and management experience, and ability to contribute to the development and refinement of engineering procedures.
