In this position as a Technical Accountant & Claims Executive, you will be responsible for handling Treaty technical reinsurance accounting and claims portfolio. The ideal candidate will be expected to input and conduct checks of quarterly statement of accounts, including completion of accounts, reserves, and various calculations (Sliding, Profit commissions, portfolios, cash calls, etc).

You will be expected to follow up with cedant/broker on outstanding statement of accounts, premium adjustments and monitor unreleased cash calls and follow with cedent and broker promptly. To be successful in this position, you will be required to ensure timely and accurate data entry with integrity & accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Input and conduct checks of quarterly statement of accounts
  • Follow up with cedant/broker on outstanding statement of accounts and premium adjustments
  • Monitor unreleased cash calls and follow with cedent and broker promptly
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry with integrity & accuracy
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in non-life treaty reinsurance sectors (either as a Technical Accounting or Claims handler)
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and highly meticulous
  • Driven and strong willingness to learn, ability to work independently in an efficient manner and hungry to learn
  • Excellent team-player with ability and readiness to share knowledge with colleagues
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure
  • Able to multitask well, take initiative in work and numeric sensitive
  • Other attributes include positive attitudes and good interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of SICS software would be a good to have
