Water-Based Fire Protection Specialist

This position is available for a skilled Fire Systems Technician who will perform maintenance, installation, and inspection tasks related to water-based fire suppression systems. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of an experienced Fire Systems Technician.

The primary duties of this role include inspecting and maintaining various water-based fire suppression systems, including dry, preaction, and wet systems. Additionally, the technician will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on existing systems. They will also collaborate with other NICET certified technicians for fire alarm systems, special hazard systems, and water-based suppression systems to develop and execute work plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain various water-based fire suppression systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on existing systems
  • Collaborate with other NICET certified technicians for fire alarm systems, special hazard systems, and water-based suppression systems

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent, along with NICET II Water Based certification and at least four years of experience installing, testing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining fire protection systems, including wet, dry and hybrid water-based suppression systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with experience in repair, maintenance and inspection on a variety of equipment and application types, as well as knowledge of design drawings, specifications, diagrams, maintenance manual and manufacturer's troubleshooting guides, are preferred.
