Job Description:

This position is a critical component of our team, responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of water-based fire suppression systems. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain various water-based fire suppression systems, including dry, preaction, and wet systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on existing water-based fire suppression systems
  • Work with other NICET certified technicians to develop and execute work plans
  • Collaborate with facilities management and engineers to develop work plans and schedules, and identify materials needed for tasking
Requirements:Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current NICET II Water Based certification (minimum)
  • Minimum four years of documented experience installing, testing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining fire protection systems, including wet, dry and hybrid water-based suppression systems
  • Experience in repair, maintenance and inspection on a variety of equipment and application types
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Management System

The ideal candidate will be able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to safety regulation maximum as required by the position.

They must also be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors in extreme cold as required by the position.
