Overview of the Role

We are seeking a Reservations and Guest Services Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing internal and external calls, ensuring that our guests have a seamless experience from the moment they contact us.

The successful candidate will promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments, including sales and front office. They will also be responsible for up-selling rooms where possible, utilizing yield management strategies to maximize hotel average room rate and ensuring a full house whenever possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all internal and external calls in a prompt and courteous manner, adhering to brand standards.
  • Provide accurate information about the hotel and surrounding attractions to guests.
  • Respond appropriately to guest complaints, making appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines.
  • Own and resolve guest problems or complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines.
  • Prepare reports accurately and truthfully, including up-sell reports and reconversion reports.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in the hotel industry.
  • Proficiency in Opera Property Management System is an added advantage.
  • Able to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
  • Fluent English language skills, with the ability to interact with guests, employees, and third parties effectively.
