About the Role:

The culinary expert is a vital component of our food service team, responsible for crafting and preparing high-quality meals that meet our clients' expectations. This role involves creating menus, ordering ingredients, and managing kitchen inventory to ensure efficient operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of dishes to the specifications of our clients, ensuring presentation and quality are exceptional.
  • Inventory Management: Track and manage kitchen inventory, including ordering ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and maintain food preparation areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other culinary staff members, providing guidance and support when needed.
  • Client Communication: Liaise with front-of-house employees to ensure smooth food service delivery.
  • Recipe Development: Develop new recipes and menus, considering client preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Appliance Operation: Operate various kitchen appliances, including blenders, ovens, and grills.
  • Portion Control: Manage portion sizes and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Collaboration: Assist other culinary staff during food assembly processes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Western cuisine
  • Excellent knowledge of Western cuisine kitchen operations
  • Strong understanding of good hygiene practices
  • Ability to work long hours and overtime when required
  • Familiarity with Western spices
