About the Job

Culinary artists are responsible for preparing high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain food quality standards and procedures in food preparation and service.
  • Develop knowledge of food products and apply culinary techniques.
  • Prepare restaurant foods, including banquets and special events.
  • Ensure food quality meets specifications and guarantees.
  • Maintain knowledge of base stocks and soups.
  • Restock kitchen supplies and food items regularly.
  • Label and date products for safekeeping and sanitation.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and sanitary.
  • Assist chefs with health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Lower food costs and wastes.
  • Rotate products on a first-in, first-out basis.
  • Maintain menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation.
  • Work as a team to assist guests' and employees' needs.

Effective communication is key to addressing issues or needs with management, chefs, and service staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications
