We are seeking a Senior Principal Engineering Technologist to join our team in shaping groundbreaking products, materials, and processes. As a key member of our engineering technologist team, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and advance our expertise in display technology.
The role involves assessing the competition, developing technology and product strategies, and generating intellectual property. You will lead technology investigations, analyze industry capabilities, and recommend potential acquisitions or vendor partnerships. Your insights will influence product architecture and definitions, ensuring our products always lead the way.
As an Engineering Technologist, you will provide valuable insights to the team on the latest semiconductor manufacturing trends and PC and connectivity technology transitions. This includes forming the SoC strategy that shapes the cost structure of our future display products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging display technology trends, solutions, and technology shifts.
- Develop insights on global semiconductor manufacturing trends, including supply/demand and transition of process nodes.
- Drive internal and external alignment of the SoC strategy.
- Maintain long-term technical relationships with vendors and understand their roadmaps.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 10 years' experience in semiconductor product planning, research, operations, or foundry services.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and design.
Desirable Requirements:
- Understanding of embedded system firmware and hardware architecture.
- Understanding of display connectivity standards and electrical analysis.
