Electrical Leadership Specialist

The ideal candidate will lead the electrical engineering elements of the project, ensuring safe and cost-efficient design.

This role requires technical expertise in Electrical Design, Contract Management, Assurance, 3D Modeling, Technical Services, Procurement, Resourcing, Project Delivery, Electrical Engineering, and Transmission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct technical services to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to the team, ensuring all related deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Maintain an overview of the project's Electrical discipline capability and highlight critical resourcing issues.

Technical Expertise:

  • Responsible for providing technical justification and sufficient information for any technical deviation.
  • Investigate proposed technical deviations to ensure they do not compromise safety but are helpful in optimizing design, improving availability, and reducing costs.
  • Evaluate risks associated with technical deviations to ensure they are as low as reasonably possible (ALARP) and properly documented.

This role also involves participating in Project Assurance reviews and Audits, conducting Safety and Design Reviews, and leading the selection of suitable technology and equipment. Additionally, the candidate will require professional work relationships with contractors and represent interests in technical queries and interpretation of scope, specifications, and standards.
