Senior Associate – Client Onboarding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our team as a Client Onboarding Specialist in Private Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring seamless client onboarding experiences through effective KYC/CDD processes
- Managing client approvals from end to end, ensuring compliance with Private Banking division standards
- Reviewing new account opening documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Conducting thorough client due diligence reviews to ensure adherence to internal standards
- Verifying the quality of client source of wealth to ensure it meets onboarding standards
- Performing name screenings, adverse media findings, sanctions links, and tax red flags
- Maintaining accurate and complete records of all relevant communications
- Ensuring data accuracy in PvB systems
- Providing guidance on PvB CDD policy and procedures, as well as applicable local regulations, to frontline staff
- Escalating higher-risk relationships and reputation risks to PvB Compliance
- Collaborating with functional experts (Legal, Compliance, Tax) as needed
- Contributing to the implementation and controls of daily processes
- Meeting agreed-upon Turn Around Times for assigned activities as outlined in Document Operating Instructions and Service Level Agreements
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by identifying procedural issues and suggesting improvements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field of study
- At least 4 years of working experience, with at least 2 years in Compliance, focusing on Private Banking/Wealth Management
- A solid understanding of regulatory requirements related to Private Banking CDD/AML
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
- A people-oriented and service-focused approach, with a high level of integrity and professionalism
