Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our team as a Client Onboarding Specialist in Private Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring seamless client onboarding experiences through effective KYC/CDD processes
  • Managing client approvals from end to end, ensuring compliance with Private Banking division standards
  • Reviewing new account opening documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Conducting thorough client due diligence reviews to ensure adherence to internal standards
  • Verifying the quality of client source of wealth to ensure it meets onboarding standards
  • Performing name screenings, adverse media findings, sanctions links, and tax red flags
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records of all relevant communications
  • Ensuring data accuracy in PvB systems
  • Providing guidance on PvB CDD policy and procedures, as well as applicable local regulations, to frontline staff
  • Escalating higher-risk relationships and reputation risks to PvB Compliance
  • Collaborating with functional experts (Legal, Compliance, Tax) as needed
  • Contributing to the implementation and controls of daily processes
  • Meeting agreed-upon Turn Around Times for assigned activities as outlined in Document Operating Instructions and Service Level Agreements
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by identifying procedural issues and suggesting improvements
Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field of study
  • At least 4 years of working experience, with at least 2 years in Compliance, focusing on Private Banking/Wealth Management
  • A solid understanding of regulatory requirements related to Private Banking CDD/AML
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • A people-oriented and service-focused approach, with a high level of integrity and professionalism
