Job Overview

This role is pivotal in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of employees and project personnel. The Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager will be responsible for implementing and enforcing comprehensive policies, procedures, and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement company-wide health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to prevent accidents.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental best practices.
  • Monitor and improve the condition of equipment and machinery to prevent accidents and optimize performance.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with projects and operations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of health, safety, and environmental performance and report to management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) or a related field.
