Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems, resolving maintenance-related issues, and supervising contractors to ensure work is carried out in accordance with specifications.

Your primary focus will be on performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks, attending to tenant queries, and coordinating with contractors to carry out repairs and maintenance work. You will also be responsible for managing and updating maintenance logs and spare parts inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of building systems.
  • Attend to tenant queries and resolve maintenance-related issues promptly.
  • Supervise and coordinate with contractors to carry out repairs and maintenance work.
  • Manage and update maintenance logs and spare parts inventory.
RequirementsEducation
  • Nitec in Electrical, Mechanical, or Facility Technology or related field.
  • Higher Nitec or WSQ certifications in Facilities or Building Maintenance preferred.
Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in Facilities Management or Building Services in a commercial building or shopping mall environment.
  • Hands-on experience in conducting inspections, basic repairs, and routine servicing of building systems.
  • Familiarity with managing service contractors and vendor coordination.
Skills
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and plumbing layouts.
  • Experience with air-conditioning and sanitary systems an added advantage.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.
  • Knowledge in using Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management System (EMS).
  • Basic computer literacy in MS Word and Excel for reporting and logging maintenance work.
