About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our trade finance operations team at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Singapore Branch. As a Banking and Finance Transaction Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the processing of trade finance transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of trade finance principles, including UCP, ISBP, URC, ISP, and URDG. You will work closely with customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure seamless transaction execution, while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements and bank policies.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Process trade transactions in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Perform pre-processing reviews of customers' submissions and conduct documentary checks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and control guidelines.
  • Complete daily reconciliation activities and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Liaise with clients on transaction status updates and queries.
  • Contribute to process improvements and projects as allocated.
