**Job Purpose**
The Regional Sales Manager responsible for the promotion of transaction banking products and services to Japanese multinationals across APAC to maximize relationship depth and revenue growth.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the growth of SMBC’s Transaction Banking business through the promotion of cash management solutions to Japanese corporate clients in APAC region.
- Build and maintain relationship with Japanese corporate clients and anticipate their requirements through consultative selling to increase SMBC’s wallet share.
- Make periodical visits to assigned countries, visits clients, lead TB dialogues, and present solutions.
- Interact with HQ in Japan and branches (RM and in-country sales), analyze TB opportunities, and strategize sales activities in collaboration.
- Prepare presentation materials and proposals in both Japanese & English translation.
- Internally coordinate with Product Development/Management for sharing client requirements/feedback and solutioning.
- Submit reports (monthly reports, business trip reports, call reports, etc.)
- Understand market trends / customer requirements and contribute to the bank’s product development / improvements.

**Job Requirement**
- Strong working experience in customer banking operations, systems and back-end operations
- Able to collaborate effectively with large corporate customers, and internal IT/Operational departments
- Familiarity with market trends and regulations in Asia regions
- At least 10 years’ of working experience in Banking is essential Ability to interact with customer across all levels - junior level to senior management.
- Strong customer centric mindset
- Analytical and creative in problem solving
- Excellent proficient in English is required as part of external customer engagements and internal stakeholder management. Excellent proficiency in English as part of external customer engagements and internal stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in Japanese is advantageous as the incumbent will have to have close collaboration and communications with HQ (Japan)
- Ability to lead the project team in achieving the desired outcome;
- Ability to spearhead projects/initiatives while working with various internal stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, proactive, team player, good inter-personal skills, etc.
