Key Account Development Specialist

The role of Key Account Development Specialist involves driving sales growth in a designated zone by identifying and securing new business opportunities.

Strong customer relationships are built by gaining a deep understanding of their needs and effectively communicating the value proposition of our portfolio to address those needs.

  • Identify and prospect opportunities for new customer acquisition, define and execute account strategy across a range of customer accounts, conduct market and competitor research, drive effective funnel management to build towards sales targets and business objectives, collaborate with Specialists during key portions of the sales process.
  • Establish meaningful customer partnerships, engage with customers to identify new business opportunities, develop a comprehensive understanding of a customer's current and future needs, tailor communication to demonstrate the value of our portfolio with high potential new accounts, partner with Sales Specialists to provide customers with product expertise during the sales cycle.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure mutually beneficial terms, collaborate with sales leaders to deliver on shared business objectives, maintain CRM hygiene to enable effective reporting and forecasting.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of creating and executing account plans towards sales objectives and delivering commercial targets, experience managing a sales funnel and prioritizing opportunities requiring escalation or acceleration to ultimately deliver results.

They should have a customer-orientation, ability to cultivate strong customer relationships with key decision makers, understand how to leverage specialist knowledge to develop tailored customer offerings, able to articulate the value of technical products to a range of customer profiles.

Additionally, they should be resilient, adaptable in a dynamic customer environment, familiar with CRM software, quality first and Patient Safety mindset, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
