Job Description

As a Turnaround Planner, you will be responsible for developing detailed planning steps incorporating safety concerns and site requirements. You will develop complete turnaround work packages ready for execution, coordinate with various teams to prepare the work package, engage field execution counterparts during the planning stage, and prepare materials or spare parts required. Additionally, you will generate material requests for stock items, coordinate with procurement teams to source non-stock materials, create purchase orders upon alignment with project management and field execution personnel, and coordinate with project management, contractors, and vendors for the turnaround execution window.

  • Develop detailed turnaround planning steps for work requests;
  • Prepare materials or spare parts required;
  • Create and release inventory purchase requests;
  • Generate material requests for stock items;
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to source non-stock materials;
  • Create purchase orders upon alignment with project management and field execution personnel;
  • Coordinate with project management, contractors, and vendors for the turnaround execution window;
Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements include a degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, at least 5 years of relevant experience in refinery and petrochemical industries, and experience in turnaround maintenance work control, planning, and costing. Strong communication, negotiation, and business sense are also essential.
