Position Overview:

Price Forbes Broking (Asia) PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Australian Wholesale Insurance Broker to join our growing team. As an Australian Wholesale Insurance Broker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of ANZ Wholesale and another placement broker in managing and growing the portfolios, including production and placement activities into the Singapore and international markets.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual with 2-5 years of broking experience, certification in General Insurance, and a strong Microsoft Suite of Products skills. Experience in international markets, including open market documentation, is desirable but not mandatory. Bi-lingual individuals are viewed favorably. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Director of ANZ Wholesale and another placement broker in managing and growing the portfolios.">
  • Assisting in the conversion of new business opportunities which promote the profitable development of the business.">
  • Preparing and finalizing insurance documentation for the team.">
  • Brokering endorsements and simple placements.">
  • Preparing placement summaries and liaising with the technical administration for prompt billing of business.">
  • Participating in the development of the Australian and New Zealand Wholesale (re)insurance business in line with the Company's plans and targets.">
  • Facilitating the prompt placement of Australian and New Zealand Wholesale (re)insurance contracts in accordance with the client's requirements and needs.">
  • Providing a quality service to clients covering all aspects of their (re)insurance arrangements.">
  • Engaging existing clients to ascertain if there are further opportunities.">
  • Supporting the Director of Australian and New Zealand Wholesale on client servicing, renewal business portfolio, new business production, and marketing & placement of risks.">
  • Meeting the financial and operational targets set by the Australian and New Zealand Wholesale Department.">
  • Promoting effective and regular communication within the Australian and New Zealand Wholesale Department and with other Departments.">
  • Promoting and ensuring compliance with the Company's Rules and Procedures and other management instructions.">
  • Escalating and reporting breaches, errors & omissions, disputes, and complaints.">
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach is adopted on matters with cross-company impact.">
  • Reporting to the line manager in a timely manner to update on the performance.">
  • Maintaining sound business practices and an adequate and proactive risk control framework within the team.">
  • Exercising judgment when reviewing proposals, either new or renewals.">
  • Maintaining up-to-date and orderly files, and ensuring documents are saved and files are passed on to others in accordance with Company Rules and Procedures.">

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

">
  • 2-5 years of broking experience.">
  • Certification in General Insurance.">
  • A strong Microsoft Suite of Products skills.">
  • Experience in international markets, including open market documentation, is desirable but not mandatory.">
  • Bi-lingual individuals are viewed favorably.">
  • A self-motivated Team Player with strong risk control skills.">
  • Knowledge of reinsurance, regulatory requirements, and general insurance.">
  • The ability to maintain sound business practices and an adequate and proactive risk control framework within the team.">
  • The ability to exercise judgment when reviewing proposals, either new or renewals.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.">
