About the Role

As an Insurance Portfolio Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director and another placement broker in managing and growing portfolios for our Australia and New Zealand Wholesale team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the ANZ Wholesale team to manage and grow existing portfolios.
  • Assist in converting new business opportunities into revenue-generating placements.
  • Prepare and finalize insurance documentation to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
  • Broker endorsements and simple placements to meet client needs.
  • Compile placement summaries and collaborate with technical administration to drive business growth.
  • Participate in developing the Australian and New Zealand Wholesale business by identifying new opportunities and implementing effective strategies.
  • Facilitate the prompt placement of Australian and New Zealand Wholesale contracts to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients across all aspects of their (re)insurance arrangements, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Engage with existing clients to explore further business opportunities and build long-term relationships.

Supporting the Director

  • Client servicing, including providing proactive support to meet client needs.
  • Renewal business portfolio management to optimize revenue streams.
  • New business production, focusing on identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Marketing and placement of risks to achieve business growth objectives.

Financial and Operational Targets

Meet financial and operational targets set by the Australian and New Zealand Wholesale Department, driving business performance and excellence.

Key Areas of Focus

  • Conduct and record business activities accurately and efficiently.
  • Confirmations and evidencing of cover to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Recording and filing of communications to maintain organized records.
  • Safeguarding of client monies, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Escalation and reporting of breaches, errors & omissions, disputes, and complaints in a timely manner.

Representing Price Forbes

  • Champion the Price Forbes name and core values, demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, tenacious, creative, and open mindset to drive business success.

Compliance

  • Comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements to minimize risk.
  • Educate and escalate potential E&O's to ensure swift resolution and mitigation.
  • Pursue completion of mandatory Company training to enhance knowledge and skills.

Scope of Duties

The scope of duties is not restrictive and may be expanded based on business needs and objectives.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of broking experience, with a strong track record of portfolio management and business growth.
  • Certification in General Insurance (BCP, PGI & ComGI), demonstrating expertise and knowledge.
  • University Degree, ideally in a related field such as Business, Finance, or Economics.
  • Strong Microsoft Suite of Products skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in international markets is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Bi-lingual skills are viewed favorably, enhancing communication and relationship-building capabilities.
