Job Overview

The Incumbent will be responsible for managing bookings and cargo class declaration for local cargoes. He/she will be liaising with local and overseas customers on queries relating to rates, complaints, and keeping customers updated on shipping information.

This role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate relaying of instructions to warehouse, truckers, documentation and transshipment departments as well as on-time filing of documentation.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Attending to local and overseas customer inquiries pertaining to rates and investigating queries and complaints (e.g., cargo damage, short shipment).
  2. Informing customers of changes in shipping information (e.g., change of vessels/departure date).
  3. Weekly preparation of flyers for weak ports.
  4. Liaising with other departments closely for documentation.
