Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our wholesale telecom sales efforts for our Bifrost project and other subsea initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in wholesale telecom market and carrier sales, with a strong understanding of the Asia and APAC Region.

The successful candidate will work closely with various Keppel business units to drive program goals and deliver projects. Key responsibilities will include building strategic partnerships with ICT partners, driving commercial activities for wholesale networks across multiple countries, and managing a team of individuals and team contributors.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management
  • Lead a high-impact team of individuals and team contributors
  • Develop and execute sales strategy to drive sales among potential customers in the ICT industry
Business Development/Strategic Partnerships
  • Lead new business opportunities in the subsea arena with potential strategic partners and customers
  • Develop budgets and financial models for international submarine cable systems and domestic terrestrial networks
  • Work closely with tax advisors to create tax-efficient holding structures for investments
  • Negotiate MOUs, Binding Term Sheets, and Definitive Agreements with partners and customers
Customer Management
  • Provide inputs to sales team in developing compelling business propositions to potential customers
  • Work closely with Corporate Legal and External Legal Teams to negotiate agreements and contracts
Internal Stakeholder Engagement
  • Coordinate monthly/quarterly reporting to KCL, KTT, and KAIF
  • Work closely with GRC on Red Team engagement and GCC on SGX/Press releases
  • Provide assistance to Keppel Capital, KAIF, etc. in their fund-raising activities and approval process
Sales/Commercial
  • Develop and execute sales strategy to drive sales among potential customers in the ICT industry
  • Lead contract negotiations with the support from the Legal team
Requirements

Skills & Qualifications
  • At least 15-20 years of relevant sales experience in the telecommunication industry
  • Proven track record of selling wholesale capacity in terms of subsea cable dark fiber pairs
  • Strong understanding of relevant business trends and the competitive fiber cable landscape
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to present at Board Meetings in a succinct manner
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage
