The Opportunity:

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for proactively selling laboratory equipment, consumables, and chemicals to customers in the life-science, biomedical, and pharmaceutical research institutions, chemical industries, and semi-conductor industries.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Education: A degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical/Chemical Process Engineering, or a related science background.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of sales experience in the life-science, biomedical, or pharmaceutical research institutions, chemical industries, and/or semi-conductor industries, preferably with key account management experience.
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Passion for liaising with internal and external customers.
    • A team-player who is able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Pleasant-looking and outgoing character.
    • Highly personable, with excellent influential leadership and communication skills.
    • Good detail-oriented personality, excellent personal organization, and time management skills.

How You Will Thrive and Create an Impact:

  • Provide excellent customer service through product knowledge, handling inquiries, and eventual sales orders.
  • Maintain good relations with customers and business partners.
  • Conduct sales presentations and pitches.
  • Drive the sales of a certain portfolio to a targeted customer base.
  • Execute territory business plans and participate in business development plans to expand business.
  • Maintain and network with clients to maintain accounts and/or expand new accounts.
  • Involved in talks and seminars to promote the benefits of products.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of current economic issues, business trends, and learn about the companies within the country in focus.
  • Develop and manage sales channels and key accounts, achieving business targets, both revenue growth and bottom line.
  • Formulate and implement effective strategies to grow key accounts.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of products and market.
  • Assist in the organization of sales and marketing activities/events, which contribute directly to the achievement of sales targets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
