As an inventory management professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits, and ensuring timely updates to records in EzyVet.

You will also assist with forecasting inventory needs and work closely with veterinary staff to manage stock levels accordingly.

Here are some of the key tasks you will perform:

  1. Maintain and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, medications, and other materials.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely updates to inventory records in EzyVet including entering updates of invoices.
  3. Assist with procurement, ordering, and receiving stock, checking deliveries for accuracy and quality.
  4. Implement processes around controlled drugs.
  5. Organize and label stock to ensure efficient accessibility and rotation of items.
  6. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  7. Work closely with veterinary staff to forecast inventory needs and manage stock levels accordingly.
  8. Help implement and maintain inventory management policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., EzyVet, Microsoft Excel).
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with veterinary staff and management.
  • 2-3 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations, preferably in a veterinary, medical, or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Experience handling controlled substances in compliance with regulations is an advantage.
