Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operations of a power plant in accordance with established procedures and requirements. This includes but is not limited to starting, loading, unloading, and shutting down the complete plant and systems.

  • Sound knowledge of safe operating parameters, controls, precautions, and safety interlocks when starting and loading plant equipment to avoid damage and run the plant in the most efficient manner.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and test plant process conditions when necessary.
  • Manage, monitor, and control plant process operations from the control room DCS.
  • Record plant operating data and report defects and abnormalities.
  • Perform isolation/normalization of equipment as required by the Permit To Work System.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma/NITEC in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a Power Plant, ideally on a CCPP or Process Plant.
  • Experience in technical aspects of Power Plant or Process Plant maintenance.
  • Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift-work pattern.
