Job Opportunity: Commercial Executive

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to take on the role of Commercial Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for various commercial tasks, including client liaison, tender preparation, and contract management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients and brokers to identify new business opportunities and negotiate contracts.
  • Review tender specifications and prepare costing structures to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Prepare and send out RFP/RFQ documents to vendors and coordinate technical/commercial clarifications to ensure timely submission.
  • Review equipment vendors' quotations and negotiate competitive pricing to secure the best deals.
  • Collate costs for estimate build-up and prepare detailed cost sheets to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Identify critical items/systems and conduct basic risk assessments to mitigate potential issues.
  • Coordinate tender document submission and ensure compliance with requirements to avoid delays.
  • Assist in tender review, cash flow projections, and contract discussions/negotiations to drive business growth.
  • Maintain good relationships with clients, brokers, and suppliers to foster a collaborative environment.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Business or Engineering field to demonstrate expertise and knowledge.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the marine industry to showcase practical skills and application.
  • Good working attitude, interpersonal, and organizational skills to work effectively in a team.
  • Meticulous and self-motivated with good commercial sense to drive business success.
  • Technical knowledge of marine equipment and materials, as well as marketing skills to develop effective strategies.
  • Ability to gather market intel, source information, and establish contracts/purchase agreements to drive business growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project to leverage technology for efficiency.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with ability to travel when required to represent the company.
