Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to support our therapists in providing high-quality care to clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in carrying out prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities, assessing client suitability for therapy sessions, and conducting routine assessments and outcome measures.

As a Therapy Assistant, you will work independently for straightforward cases after discussion with therapists and conduct basic or routine group therapy. You will also be responsible for ensuring proper use of equipment, including technological-assisted rehabilitation equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will also possess a solid understanding of clinical duties and administrative tasks related to therapy sessions.

  • Clinical Duties:
    • Carry out prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities as instructed by therapist.
    • Assist therapists in assessing clients' status for suitability to start therapy sessions or to continue with therapy sessions.
    • Conduct routine assessments and outcome measures for clients as prescribed by therapists.
    • Manage and conduct therapy sessions independently for straightforward cases after discussion with therapists.
    • Conduct basic or routine group therapy.
    • Ensure proper use of equipment including technological-assisted rehabilitation equipment.
  • Administrative and Program Related Duties:
    • Adhere to infection control procedures and ensure volunteer's compliance to procedures.
    • Provide and support in the training of therapy assistants/senior therapy assistants.
