Job Title: Organ Donation Coordinator
Job DescriptionThe Organ Donation Coordinator plays a crucial role in the evaluation, preparation, and management of patients undergoing living donor organ transplantation. This involves overseeing the referral process, conducting initial assessments, scheduling tests and specialist visits, and providing counseling to patients.
Responsibilities- Receiving referrals and making initial contact with patients
- Performing interim assessments of patients' suitability for living organ donation or transplantation
- Scheduling tests and specialist visits required for living organ donation or transplantation
- Reviewing patients at transplant evaluation clinics and providing counseling regarding donation or transplantation
- Monitoring patient conditions and testing during evaluation, maintaining a database, and reporting program data regularly
- Handling calls and concerns from patients during weekdays and weekends
- Monitoring admitted patients and ensuring accurate tracking of evaluation progress
- Preparing documents and coordinating with relevant committees for approval
- Managing peri-operative and preparatory phases for donation and transplantation
- Participating in overnight calls for deceased donor transplant activation
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Performing duties related to quality improvement, education, and research as assigned
Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in Nursing, Life Sciences, Psychology, or Social Work. Multilingual proficiency and healthcare experience are preferred.
