Job Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Transplant Coordinator to join our team. As a transplant coordinator, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team that works together to support patients through the transplant journey. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to ensure a seamless experience from pre-transplant to post-transplant care.
Responsibilities:
- Identify potential donors from brain death and cardiac death in hospitals;
- Support the Organ Donation Oversight Committee as a transplant advocate;
- Assist in organ donation initiatives to create awareness among internal and external stakeholders;
- Acquire clinical knowledge, including medical, surgical, human physiology, and organ tissue-cell specific anatomies;
- Understand common ailments and chronic diseases, and be familiar with legislations that permit organ donation;
- Perform on-call duties on a rotational basis to support organ donation and transplant programs;
- Deliver care to multiple transplant programs to support strategic goals;
- Provide follow-up, education, and care across the continuum from pre-transplant to post-transplant in accordance with established protocols and guidelines;
- Participate in transplant-related projects carried out by the organization.
Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing, Psychology, or Life/Health Sciences;
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with delicate and sensitive situations;
- Pleasant disposition and ability to work independently;
- Willingness to perform on-call duties on a rotational basis and learn;
- Ability to multi-task and perform time-sensitive work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team;
- Good team player and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
