Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment.

You will work closely with our Integrated Network Operation Centre (INOC) to ensure timely fault clearing and service restoration. Your analytical skills and technical knowledge will enable you to troubleshoot faults related to access and transmission equipment.

In addition, you will be responsible for the daily schedule preparation and execution of site surveys, installations, testing, replacement, and preventive maintenance of access and transmission equipment.

Monitor the health and performance of the access and transmission equipment in the network and carry out remedial action accordingly.

Your duties will also include providing support for re-routing or diversion activities during cable-related service incidents and performing any other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of O Level /A level or ITE in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years working experience in Engineering (Technician) or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge on telecommunications engineering and the working concepts of transmission systems.
  • Experience and knowledge in transmission equipment such as SDH, DWDM, GPON, MSAN, MD/ONU, SIP IAD, CE will be an added advantage.
