Business Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to focus on Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) in the JAPAC region.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, strategic planning, and team leadership. They will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market plans for MSSP across JAPAC, focusing on regional MSSPs within six geographic areas.

The successful candidate will have strong relationships with MSSPs across JAPAC, as well as experience working with regional MSSPs, systems integrators, or emerging service providers. They will also have a deep understanding of alliances channel operating models and cybersecurity is a plus.

In this role, you will collaborate with marketing for demand generation campaigns and coordinate with partner and sales, presales, channel, and delivery enablement teams. You will also educate and engage sales teams and MSSP account teams on tri-party collaboration to win joint customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute Go-to-Market (GTM) plans for MSSP across JAPAC, focusing on regional MSSPs within six geographic areas.
  • Understand executive and business unit structures of MSSPs and identify unique differentiators for each partner.
  • Define service offerings that embed Palo Alto Networks platforms and oversee joint service offering development.
  • Execute and enhance GTM plans; conduct joint planning with key partners with executive support.
  • Collaborate with marketing for demand generation campaigns and coordinate with partner and Palo Alto Networks sales, presales, channel, and delivery enablement.
  • Educate and engage Palo Alto Networks sales teams and MSSP account teams on tri-party collaboration to win joint customer engagements.

Requirements:
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in partner sales, account management, or business development.
  • Experience working with regional MSSPs, systems integrators, or emerging service providers.
  • Strong business relationships with MSSPs across JAPAC (advantageous).
  • Understanding of alliances channel operating models; knowledge of cybersecurity is a plus.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, and solution development; experience in overlay/solutions specialist roles.
  • Experience collaborating with service providers and partner ecosystems; ability to develop cross-functional solutions.
