Job Title: Technical Support Engineer, PA Sales

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team at Yamaha Music (Asia). As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers, ensuring that they receive the best possible experience with our digital PA products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and training to customers via phone, email, online, or in-person, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting audio system issues.
  • Manage Steinberg's technical issues and communicate with Steinberg on all Digital Audio Workstations and licensing.
  • Assist customers in configuring, installing, and troubleshooting complex audio systems for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in audio technology and products.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings to provide accurate information and solutions to customers.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and FAQs.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff, customers, and export distributors/importers on the proper use of audio equipment.
  • Perform quality checks on audio equipment to ensure that project business partners meet company standards and customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Audio Engineering, Electronics & Communications.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Live Sound mixing, preferably on Loudspeaker System & Digital Mixing Console.
  • Able to provide technical support in Pre & Post Sales Activities (Vertical & Horizontal Sales Environment).
  • Knowledge in Yamaha Professional audio products will be an added advantage.
