Job Title: Purchasing and Estimating Specialist

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Purchasing and Estimating Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for procurement and estimating tasks that drive the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
  1. Procurement Planning: Source quotations, liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, and award contracts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  2. Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed estimates for tenders, quotations, and variations, taking into account material costs, labor rates, and other expenses.
  3. Tender Management: Manage the tender process from initial enquiry to contract award, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  4. Contract Administration: Administer contracts to ensure successful project outcomes, including preparation and resolution of progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional certification in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
