Construction Estimating Specialist

As a Construction Estimating Specialist, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Involve and participate in project tender exercises to ensure that all necessary information is gathered and included in the estimate.
  • Attend tender interviews and meetings to discuss project requirements and answer questions from clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with main contractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and pricing for materials and services.
  • Take off quantities and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQs) for each project.
  • Prepare and submit tender submissions, contract documents, and manage cost information for each project.
  • Administer tenders and provide cost control and estimation services to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
  • Experience working in the construction industry, preferably in estimating or quantity surveying.
  • Knowledge of local fire code practice and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
