Job Title: Cost Estimator Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and experience in cost estimating for construction and industrial projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the scope of work by analyzing tender documents, technical drawings, and design specifications. They will also perform take-offs for concrete works, structural steel, partitions, façades, and architectural finishes. In addition, they will build cost estimates using first-principle methodologies aligned with current market rates and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to validate material rates and negotiate pricing.

The Cost Estimator Specialist will integrate CSA cost data into bid submissions while coordinating across engineering and procurement teams. They will also support governance standards and mentor junior estimators while maintaining accurate pricing libraries.

Requirements:
  • Possesses a degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with 3–5 years of CSA cost estimating experience.
  • Demonstrates expertise across construction and industrial projects, supporting complex scopes and scale.
  • Proficient in first-principle pricing, cost planning, and full-cycle estimation from early works to architectural finishes.
  • Experienced in stakeholder coordination and consolidation of estimates across design, commercial, and procurement domains.
