RF Network Optimization Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented RF engineer to enhance network performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing field measurement activities, analyzing network key performance indicators, troubleshooting coverage/quality issues, and providing recommendations to improve the mobile network experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 4G/5G drive tests using industry-standard tools and equipment.
  • Collect, log, and validate RF performance data including coverage, signal quality, throughput, and call drop statistics.
  • Analyze drive test logs and generate detailed reports highlighting key findings, issues, and recommendations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot RF issues such as coverage gaps, interference, call setup failures, and poor handovers.
  • Work with optimization teams to fine-tune network parameters for improved performance.
  • Benchmark operator networks against competitors to assess quality of service (QoS).
  • Ensure compliance with test plans, schedules, and customer requirements.
  • Support acceptance testing (ATP) and new site verification as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in RF engineering, specifically with 4G/5G drive testing.
  • Hands-on experience with drive test tools is preferred.
  • The ability to analyze large data sets and produce actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to travel and perform extensive fieldwork.
