Distributed Systems Specialist

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and applications. You will also collaborate with other engineers to design and implement new features and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, high-availability architectures using distributed systems technologies.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to detect issues before they affect users.
  • Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Implement automation scripts for tasks like deployments, monitoring, backups, scaling, etc.
  • Work with the security team to implement security best practices for system hardening, patching, and vulnerability management.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems, including performance tuning and kernel optimization.
  • Experience with load balancing, caching, and database performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, bash).
  • AWS Administration proficiency.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
