Job Title: Baggage Handling System Liaison Engineer

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of baggage handling system design, processes, and operational scope.
  • Collaborate with contractors to ensure routine maintenance activities are executed as planned.
  • Conduct real-time monitoring of key performance indicators and data analysis to detect abnormalities in system performance.
  • Oversee routine tasks including server reboots and planned system switchovers.
  • Perform inspections to assess equipment health and operation.
  • Manage day-to-day operational issues and system diversions effectively.
  • Make decisions on system diversion for incidents to allow business continuity.
  • Mobilise manpower resources to facilitate effective recovery efforts.
  • Provide timely incident reporting and real-time updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct tabletop exercises on system failure recovery Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Plan and execute quarterly BHS recovery exercises.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Relevant experience in material handling or automation preferred.
  • Willingness to work in rotating shifts and weekends.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and make quick decisions.
  • Team player with a growth mindset and resilience.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and operations management is advantageous.
