Operations of the Baggage Handling System (BHS):

- Onsite monitoring of the system during operations to ensure all conveyor equipment is running correctly.
- Attend to any bag jams; clear the bag jams and re-start the conveyor system promptly without delay.
- Report any system problems to BHS control room promptly.
- Must be familiar with working safely on LIVE single phase and 3-phase 230V/ 415VAC electrical equipment.
- Any other mechanical and electrical work as instructed under the direction of CAG, representative or his appointed representative,
- who can be CAG’s duty BHS Operations & Maintenance
- Contractor.

Maintenance of the Baggage Handling System (BHS):

- Remove old or damaged conveyor belts and install new conveyor belts. Some conveyors can be as long as 25 meters in length.
- Remove old or damaged conveyor pulleys and install new ones.These pulleys can be quite heavy and need steady hands to handle such replacement work.
- Remove old or damaged drive motors and install new ones. These motors can be in the range of 1KW to 5KW type.
- Any other mechanical and electrical work as instructed under the direction of CAG, representative or his appointed representative,
- who can be CAG’s duty BHS Operations & Maintenance Contractor
