Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to design and develop mechanical systems, focusing on baggage handling and material transportation. This involves creating innovative solutions for conveyor system designs, steelworks, and layout plans.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze customer proposals and specifications to evaluate design requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize material handling systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Analyze customer design proposals and specifications.
  • Prepare mechanical design drawings and specifications.
  • Develop fabrication detail drawings and schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in baggage or material handling system design.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD, Naviswork, and Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Experience with REVIT software is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of materials properties and applications, fabrication methods.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
