Job Description:

As a Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development of proposals for Siemens Energy Industrial Applications customer base. This includes reviewing client's request for quotation (RFQ) and performing equipment selections using company or other engineering tools to develop the most optimized solution.

You will also prepare outside purchase equipment (OPE) RFQs and work together with regional/global supply chain managers to engage and align for a compliant offer.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop Proposals as a technical lead for Siemens Energy Industrial Applications customer/client base by reviewing client's request for quotation (RFQ)
  2. Perform equipment selections including drivers and auxiliary, using company or other engineering tools developing the most optimized solution
  3. Prepare outside purchase equipment (OPE) RFQs and work together with regional/global supply chain manager(s) to engage and align for a compliant offer
  4. Responsible to lead overall cost integration and analysis with consideration for technical and commercial risk assessment prior to arriving at final Pricing
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering degree from an accredited higher education institution
  • Experience in rotating equipment (i.e. gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, centrifugal pumps, motors, etc.) in either design, application engineering, front-end / detail engineering or installation and commissioning
  • Experience in Combined Cycle Design for modules or Power Plant will be an added advantage
  • Team player and works well with others in a team environment
  • Domestic and international travel is required to support training, project presentations, bid clarification and project kick-off meetings
  • Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills. Proficiency in the English language, bilingual and international experience is an advantage
