Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimator to join our team in the APAC region. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for developing installation cost estimates for various data center projects.

You will work closely with sales engineering, design and construction, data center operations, sales, and finance teams to ensure costs are accurate and competitive. Your expertise in white space fit-outs, including rack, cage, electrical distribution, and data cable infrastructure, will be crucial in delivering high-quality results.

In this role, you will also be responsible for analyzing vendor quotes, maintaining unit costs databases, and working with design engineers and vendors to identify cost reduction opportunities. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and prioritize tasks effectively will be essential in meeting project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop installation cost estimates for various data center projects
  • Analyze vendor quotes and maintain unit costs databases
  • Work with design engineers and vendors to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and competitive costs
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

Minimum 7 years of experience in data center construction and/or telecommunications / data center industry

Expert level knowledge of white space fit-outs, including rack, cage, electrical distribution, and data cable infrastructure

Expert level knowledge in reading/interpreting construction plans, one-line drawings, and construction specifications

Familiarity with project cost accounting and local codes

Advanced analytical and quantitative skills

Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission critical facilities environment

Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC), Service Now, Oracle, Yardi
