Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and sourcing, with experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers for food/baking ingredients, packaging, equipment, and other related products.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal cost savings and quality standards.
  • Manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitor global market trends, pricing, and supply availability.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and product innovation.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure imported dairy products meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Address and resolve any quality or compliance issues with suppliers.
  • Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of dairy products.
  • Manage import documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Minimize waste and obsolescence through effective inventory planning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining product quality.
  • Track and report on cost savings and procurement performance metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in FMCG industries.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs processes, and import/export documentation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g. SAP).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
