The role of a Lecturer in Retail Services involves playing a critical part in recognising and nurturing students' potential and lifelong learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching duties, as well as carrying out industry or consultancy projects to remain relevant in your profession and adapt to evolving changes in the industry. You will also have the opportunity to engage in industry attachments or experience on a regular basis to update your skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications

You should possess minimum 3 years of experience in the retail and/or wholesale trade industry, with functional experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Retail Sales
  • Retail Operations
  • Retail Merchandising
  • Wholesale Trade Operations, Procurement and Sourcing
  • Customer Service
  • Visual Merchandising

Familiarity with Omni-channel Retailing, E-Marketplace platforms, basic knowledge of SEO/SEM, and graphics design experience would be an added advantage.
