About the Department

The Group Technology and Operations (GTO) division is responsible for software and system development, IT support services, and banking operations. By centralizing and standardizing technology components in Singapore, GTO creates a robust global infrastructure that supports regional subsidiaries and branches worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a high-achieving Systems Analyst to join the Cards Technology System Analysis team. This role is pivotal in driving the Group's vision of establishing a world-class technology organization while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. The successful candidate will:

  • Provide technological leadership in designing card solutions that align with strategic card initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with business users and functional analysts to assess requirements, conduct impact analyses, and refine business needs for significant projects.
  • Translate insights into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to the technical solution from design to implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional analysis by leveraging the collective expertise of the Business Analysis practice and other technology teams.
  • Maintain a repository of feature inventories and data mappings for the domain.
  • Establish sizing estimates by linking business needs with solution options and dependencies.
  • Prepare Functional Specification Documents (FSD) that adhere to the bank's documentation standards.
  • Identify and incorporate non-functional requirements into the FSD.
  • Coordinate with Application Development teams for sizing validation.
  • Collaborate with design and testing teams to ensure comprehensive understanding and execution of requirements.
  • Work with Testing Teams to develop and execute effective test strategies.
  • Ensure comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans are in place.
  • Liaise with internal teams and vendors to address identified defects and clarify system functionalities.
  • Assist Project Managers in monitoring project timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely and quality product deliveries.
  • Foster positive working relationships with remote teams.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a reliable and results-driven technology delivery manager, adept at navigating a large development organization within a dynamic, globally distributed environment that values diversity and collaboration. The candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of technology experience, including at least 7 years in a Systems Analyst role within the cards application domain on a mainframe platform.
  • At least 5 years of experience specifically in Core Cards processing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of CardLink / VisionPlus, mainframe (CICS / Cobol), and distributed platforms.
  • Experience with large-scale card migrations will be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage a team of Systems Analysts and vendors to ensure timely delivery of system enhancements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.
  • A solid understanding of the system development life cycle.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • The capacity to multitask and perform well under pressure.
