About the Department

The Group Technology and Operations (GTO) division is responsible for software and system development, IT support services, and banking operations. We have streamlined our technology components into a centralized system in Singapore, enabling us to support our regional subsidiaries and global branches effectively. Our operations span 19 countries, ensuring a secure and adaptable banking infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a high-achieving Systems Analyst to become part of the Cards Technology System Analysis team. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization's strategy to establish a world-class technology framework while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. The successful candidate will provide technological leadership in crafting card solutions for strategic projects and developing application systems globally, collaborating with various Cards application development teams and technology groups. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with business users and functional analysts to assess requirements, conduct impact analyses, and refine business needs for strategic projects, particularly large-scale card migration initiatives.
  • Translating requirement insights into user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
  • Engaging in the technical solution from design to code level.
  • Investigating opportunities to enhance existing solutions to fulfill business requirements.
  • Ensuring comprehensive cross-functional analysis by leveraging the collective expertise of Business Analysis practices and other technology teams.
  • Maintaining a repository of feature inventories and data maps for the domain.
  • Establishing sizing metrics by aligning business needs with solution options and dependencies.
  • Preparing Functional Specification Documents (FSD) that adhere to the bank's documentation standards.
  • Identifying non-functional requirements and integrating them into the FSD.
  • Coordinating with Application Development teams for sizing validation.
  • Collaborating with design and testing teams to ensure accurate understanding and refinement of requirements.
  • Working with Testing Teams to develop and execute a comprehensive test strategy that meets business requirements.
  • Coordinating with internal teams and vendors to address identified defects and clarify system functionalities.
  • Assisting Project Managers in monitoring project progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborating with vendors to ensure timely and quality product deliveries.
  • Effectively engaging with remote teams to cultivate positive working relationships.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a reliable and results-driven technology delivery manager, capable of thriving in a large development organization within a dynamic, globally distributed environment that promotes diversity, teamwork, and collaboration. Key qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of technology experience, with at least 7 years in a Systems Analyst role within the cards application domain on a mainframe platform.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Systems Analyst in Core Cards processing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of CardLink / VisionPlus, mainframe (CICS / Cobol), and distributed platforms, along with a solid understanding of card functionalities to design effective solutions.
  • Experience with large-scale card migrations on Cardlink or cryptography is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage a team of Systems Analysts and vendors to ensure timely delivery of system enhancements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.
  • A clear understanding of the system development life cycle.
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
