Job Opportunity

We are seeking a driven and innovative pharmaceutical procurement leader to spearhead strategic transformation within the organisation.

This role combines expertise in pharmacy with procurement and supply chain strategies, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness in sourcing essential medical supplies and services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement and optimize procurement systems and workflows across the region, driving business value and commercial savings.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives, leveraging cost-saving initiatives and streamlining processes.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle: identify needs, source suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships and evaluate performance to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Mitigate procurement risks and ensure adherence to company policies, local laws, and ethical practices.
  • Promote digital transformation initiatives, including system upgrades and platform deployment, to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee central purchasing functions and maintain accurate inventory management across multiple locations.
  • Evaluate new drug entries and review institutional drug formularies to ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Analyse stocktake data and present insights to management to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to streamline end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including maintaining Wholesale and Import licenses and adhering to Good Distribution Practice.
Requirements:
  • Registered Pharmacist with a recognised professional body.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement and supply chain management.
  • Experience in oncology products or services is an asset.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
